Because in only 6 years one un-spayed female dog and all her un-spayed female pups can potentially have 67,000 pups!

That’s a lot of dogs! There simply is not enough homes available for all of the dogs who exist. Many dogs end up in the wrong hands, advertised for free online, are used as breeding machines, are neglected, tortured or used as bait dogs for dog fighters.

There is currently a global dog over-population crisis which causes mass pain and suffering to dogs all over the world.

75% of all of the dogs in the world are strays.

The kindest thing you can do is prevent this from happening by having your dog neutered.

Benefits of neutering

Prevents hormonal aggression, roaming, cancers, uterine infections, unwanted attention, marking territory and sexual frustration. There is even evidence to suggest that spaying early increases life expectancy. Surveys indicate that 80% of dogs hit by cars are un-neutered.

Myths

It is a myth that females should have one littler before they are spayed, there have been thousands of dogs who have been spayed without having a litter and who have lived normal, happy, healthy lives.

Facts

Spaying and neutering is the most common procedure for dogs, they are routine operations and your veterinary surgeon will be very knowledgeable on the subject.

It is very difficult to find good homes for puppies, there are too many dogs and the good homes are usually all taken up!
